Puerto Rican Natural from San Juan, Adira (Madame Nymphaea) has been dancing since childhood. Her dream of becoming a bellydancer came true after seeing a performance on TV at age 17. Despite financial challenges, she pursued her passion. She trained with Yashira Yamilet and Arabian Fantasy, becoming a professional bellydancer.
Adira performed on TV shows, in hotels like the Caribe Hilton, Normandie Hotel, El San Juan Hotel, and at the Teatro Tapia. She even had the honor of meeting the "Lion of Egypt," Hakim. She also danced in restaurants such as El Cairo and a Turkish restaurant in Aguadilla.
At 24, Adira became a mother and took a break from her career. She returned to teaching in 2011 and again in 2014. After 20 years in the administrative field, she decided to follow her heart and pursue her dream of teaching and creating events. In 2023, she traveled to Cairo to take lessons with professional Egyptian choreographers like Tito Seif, Nada El Masriya, Doaa Salam, Natalie Nazrio and much more to further enhance her dancing skills and knowledge.
Her students have been her greatest inspiration, confirming that she's not only teaching but also helping women to love themselves, connect with their bodies,feel happy, and share with others through the beautiful movements of the world's oldest dance.
